Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of the Program and Organizing Committee of the conference, we have the honor and pleasure to invite you to participate in the XXI International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists "THE ECONOMY OF BULGARIA AND THE EUROPEAN UNION: YEAR ONE OF THE ACCESSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA TO THE EURO AREA", which will be held on November 5 - 6, 2026 at the UNWE, Sofia.
The conference is held by the Finance and Accounting Faculty of the UNWE in co-organization with the following national and foreign universities and organizations:

The aim of the international conference is for young scientists – doctoral candidates, teachers, early stage researchers, as well as students, to present their scientific research to the academic community and discuss economic problems with Bulgarian and foreign scientists. This scientific forum is being held for the 20th time in a row, as the published scientific results from the previous scientific conferences prove the significant potential for the future professional development of young scientists. The format and organization of the scientific event are aimed at creating an academic atmosphere conducive to dialogue and exchange of ideas between the different levels of the academic community and business representatives.
The conference is also open to the participation of students (Bachelor and Master's degree), presenting their research interests and studies. Students participate in the sessions and discussions with prominent professors, scientists, policymakers and business representatives.
The conference is financed by a university scientific project for a scientific event under contract No. NID NF-1/2026/B.
THEMATIC AREAS OF THE CONFERENCE:
1. Financial policy, financial markets, banking, investments, insurance and social security;
2.. Accounting policy and practice, accounting standards, financial audit, control systems and internal control;
3. Research and science, research and development, science-business relationship, innovation, competitiveness, project management;
4. Entrepreneurship, management, marketing, corporate control and business development in Bulgaria, in the EU and globally.
Working languages of the conference:
Bulgarian;
English.
Conference venue: University of National and World Economy (UNWE), Sofia, Bulgaria.
Participation in the conference is in person at the UNWE, Sofia, in the Large and Small conference halls, and online via MS Teams eletronic platform.
