DEAR LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee we have the honour and the pleasure to invite you to participate in the 18th International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists on “The Economy of Bulgaria and THE European Union: INFLATION, FISCAL CONSOLIDATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT”, which will be held on 6 December 2023 at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), Sofia, Bulgaria.
The Faculty of Finance and Accountancy at the UNWE organizes the conference under the patronage of the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and the co-organizers of the conference are the following leading universities:
- VUZF University, Sofia, Bulgaria;
- University of Bologna – Alma Mater Studiorum Universita di Bologna-Sede di Rimini, Bologna, Italy;
- University of Split, Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, Split, Croatia;
- Poltava University of Economics and Trade, Poltava, Ukraine;
- Lutsk National Technical University, Lutsk, Ukraine;
- University of Rijeka, Faculty of Economics and Business, Rijeka, Croatia;
- Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia.
The purpose of this international conference is to give floor of the young scientists – PhD students and lecturers, to present their scientific research to the academic community and to discuss their views with Bulgarian and foreign scientists. This scientific forum is held for the eighteenth time in a row, and the published scientific results of the previous conferences prove the significant potential for the future professional development of young scientists. The format and organization of the scientific event are aimed at creating an academic atmosphere that favours dialogue and the exchange of ideas between the different levels of the academic college.
The conference is also open to students (undergraduate and graduate) presenting their interests and research. Students participate in sessions and discussions with distinguished professors, academics and business representatives.
The thematic directions of the conference are: 1. Financial policy, financial markets, banking, investments, insurance and social insurance; 2. Accounting policy and practice, accounting standards, financial audit, control systems and internal control; 3. Research and science, research and development, science-business connection, innovation, competitiveness, project management; 4. Entrepreneurship, management, marketing, corporate control and business development in Bulgaria, in the EU and on a global scale.
Participation in the conference is also present online (virtual) in the MS Teams electronic platform.
The working languages of the conference are Bulgarian, Russian and English. During the conference there is a separate section announced with the working language "English".
